Arcon Construction is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Ayden, NC. This is a full-time position.

As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help keep our trucks, lifts, and construction equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job. This role is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who wants to continue developing their skills alongside an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day shop operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support field repairs when needed. What We Offer $24.00-$27.00/hour to start, based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance $25, 000 life insurance -- 100% company-paid Short-term and long-term disability -- 100% company-paid Retirement program with employer match Stable, family-oriented company -- we've been in business for 27 years A supportive team that works well together What You'll Do Working alongside our Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you'll help maintain and repair a mixed fleet that includes diesel trucks, aerial lifts, forklifts, man lifts, and other construction equipment. • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy diesel equipment and aerial lifts • Assists with emergency equipment and field repairs when needed • Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the shop and work areas • Help identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues under the guidance of the lead mechanic, and coordinate to prioritize what needs attention first • Support field service and maintenance activities at construction sites when required What We're Looking For • 1-3 years working on heavy diesel engines, hydraulics, and/or heavy equipment • You diagnose problems methodically -- not by throwing parts at it • Valid driver's license with a clean record • Clear communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach • Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and take on additional responsibility How to Apply Apply right here.
