The Commercial Director (CD) Haematology is responsible and accountable for the short-, medium-, and long-term commercial success of the product portfolio of the respective Business Units (BUs). The CD is responsible for the P& L according to the defined portfolio level. The allocation of resources (budget & headcount) on portfolio level in alignment with overall local strategy of the operating company (OpCo), the strategic alignment with the local operating company (OpCo), the CE& B (Central Europe & Baltics) Cluster and Mid-Size-Market (MSM) strategy, as well as with the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and African Region) Strategy Organization (ESO) are the positions core responsibilities and accountabilities.
At this level, the position has a significant degree of impact on Janssen business results and has responsibility for coordinating and managing a group of team leaders and professionals.
The Commercial Director is a member of the Janssen Poland Management Board (PLT)
Ensures the short (Business Plans)-, medium- and long-term (LRFP) commercial success of a Business Unit portfolio (BU portfolio and P& L responsibility)
Develops the business strategy on local level and provides input to CD& B, MSM, and EMEA level strategy.
Defines the strategic and resource allocation priorities on BU level and aligns them with the local strategy as well as with the respective team members of the Polish Management Board.
Drives the strategic headcount planning exercise and defines the best mid- to long-term Go-To-Market Models
Manages a cost-efficient performance within the respective Business Units under his/her leadership.
Steers and oversees the operational deployment of the Business Units strategies
Ensures an alignment within the local Management Board with important internal stakeholders (e.g. Market Access, Medical Affairs, CDS Lead, Governmental Affairs, )
Represents the company’s position towards important internal and external stakeholders
Is member of the Polish Leadership Team (PLT)
Building effective and successful teams, defining a BU overarching headcount and people strategy in collaboration with Talent Acquisition (recruiting), Human Resources (Talent Strategy) and Learning and Development (capability & competency building).
Establishes and maintains a high performing team of Business Unit Leaders and People Leaders (National Sales Manager)

Education: University / bachelor’s degree or Equivalent, preferably in a relevant business-related discipline
Min. 8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience (sales & marketing) amongst these min 3 years of leadership experience as Business Unit Director (or comparable) including leadership of people leader/first line leader, ideally in pharmaceutical/healthcare environment.
Excellent business acumen commercial experience and skills, solid medical and scientific understanding as well robust health -economic and political knowledge
Retain motivation and infuse spirit relevant to the company culture, vision, and business strategy.
Experience with change management, business turnaround, ability to challenge "status quo"
Excellent communication skills (oral, business writing, presenting, and listening)
Native local speaker and fluent English knowledge of both spoken and written,
Broad based, well rounded medical/marketing background
Ability to navigate and produce results in a global and regional matrix organization, strong cross-functional engagement, and interdisciplinary approach.
Strong customer focus, service orientation, executional excellence
Pro-active and goal-oriented thinking
Location and mobility: 70% local office based/ 30% travels
