This role reports to: R& D Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

The Elanco R& D / Corp Strat Associate Controller is responsible for supporting and steering the Planning, Reporting, Accounting and Analysis activities related to the Elanco R& D and Corporate Strategy organizations. Additional responsibilities would include working with the project management team to assist with financial project reporting, managing headcount reporting, supporting the business plan process and area accounting support.

Activities include:

  • Own monthly tracking and reporting of financial results in a timely and accurate manner at a functional, geographical, and project level

  • Work with peers cross-functionally to improve reporting and analysis activities

  • Analyze actual functional costs to identify areas of concern and perform initial identification of monthly drivers

  • Maintain headcount reporting and analysis for the functions

  • Support accounting activities

  • Manage portions of activities for the annual business plan

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in business administration, finance or economics

  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Adept at trouble shooting and problem-solving

  • Desire to learn and intellectual curiosity

  • Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • MBA or other relevant Masters

  • Process improvement experience

  • Prior Reporting and Forecasting experience

  • Systems experience including SAP S4, BPC, Tableau, Power BI.
