About the Position:

The Quotation Specialist supports company parts and service sales by creating Rebuild, Repair and Pull Through quotes. The Specialist identifies and captures additional parts and service sales opportunities from customer value agreements (CVA’s”), and other inspections performed by the service department. The Specialist also creates and maintains Standard Jobs.

  • Quote all types of Cat Dealer and Certified Rebuilds and assure that all required updates are performed during rebuilds.
  • Utilize completed inspections from Cat Inspect to prioritize needed repairs, quotes, and gain incremental sales for the parts and service departments.
  • Support CVA Quoting as needed.
  • Write and transmit rebuild and repair quotes to customers and store quotes in CRM Parts and Service Quoter to allow easy future retrieval if needed.
  • Ensure proper compliance with Caterpillar pricing programs and most cost-effective repair options.
  • Maintain a high level of communication between service, parts and sales departments. Pass on important customer information between departments as needed.
  • Work closely with Product Support sales dept to maximize our close rate.
  • Ensure quality of inspections being performed by continuous evaluation and coaching.
  • Understand and quote all needed repairs from Cat Inspect, TA1, and TA2 inspections.
  • Create Standard Jobs using the latest Cat applications.
  • Provide standard jobs support for internal personnel.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of five years of experience in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Service experience specifically as a technician or service writer and some experience in parts department and sales experience are needed.
