The New Entrant Journey Specialist will support the Clinical Development Director in ensuring all clinical new entrants are fully supported and ensuring a positive experience during the initial stages of the employment lifecycle at Maximus. This role will focus on attracting, recruiting, onboarding, inducting, training, and supporting employees through the new entrant journey from supported practice through to completion of their preceptorship.

This role ensures that new clinical assessors are effectively integrated into the organisation and are fully prepared to excel in their roles, fostering a positive initial experience that promotes long-term engagement, minimises early attrition, and ensures the quality of candidates.

This role will support the Clinical Development Director in ensuring quality assurance, governance, MI, continuous improvement and innervation are at the heart of driving a world class New Entrant Experience.

Salary - £43, 200 - £48, 200

• Support the Clinical Development Director in delivering the Clinical Employee Journey Strategy from initial attraction through preceptorship completion. Align the journey with Functional Assessment Service objectives and company values, focusing on reducing early attrition and ensuring candidate quality. Champion an induction process that sets a high standard for employee engagement and career development.

• Build and maintain relationships with subject matter experts, recruitment teams, Training and Development, operations, TAGEB, and planning leads. Lead regular strategic reviews of the employee journey, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and responsiveness to changing business needs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and coordination of all journey segments.

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to keep colleagues engaged and informed at each stage of their journey. Ensure clear transition points between journey segments, fostering seamless connections and sharing feedback across stakeholders to set expectations for subsequent stages.

• Proactively identify and address challenges or bottlenecks within the new entrant journey. Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and implement solutions that improve the colleague experience and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Development Director to develop innovative recognition initiatives. Celebrate key milestones, such as preceptorship completion, to foster motivation and a culture of appreciation.

• Operate necessary governance boards to provide oversight of the new entrant journey, ensuring accountability, analysing trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements, embedding assurance processes across all journey segments. Monitor and address upstream and downstream impacts to optimise overall operational outcomes.

• Drive collaboration with Maximus delivery partners and external stakeholders to share best practices, integrate external learnings into internal processes, and continuously improve clinician development strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in successfully supporting new entrants from recruitment through to high quality independent practitioners.

• Strong background in influencing and engaging multiple stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across different business units to ensure high-quality delivery and optimal colleague experience.

• Experience in developing strategies that have reduced attrition, provided an improved new entrant experience and developed a higher quality of candidates.

Desirable

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective onboarding and preceptorship programs within a healthcare or similar setting.

• Experience working with healthcare professionals at the early stages of their career.

• Previous work with DWP or similar government departments could be beneficial, offering an understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment.
