Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring alignment with production goals and company standards.
  • Daily quality assurance activities on the production floor, with a focus on assembly line inspection processes and product flow.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality strategies, inspection protocols and checkpoints across all stages of the assembly process.
  • Conduct and oversee thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure equipment meets internal standards and customer specifications prior to shipment.
  • Review and maintain accurate and complete quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify root causes of defects and implement process improvements.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Train and mentor quality inspectors and line personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports for leadership on trends, issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in testing of equipment to ensure quality and proper functionality meets the production documentation.
  • Assist when needed in training and testing.
  • Ensure that all equipment, before it ships to the customer, has the proper manuals, system uploads, and paperwork.
  • Organize review meetings with all internal stakeholders when concerns arise to seek corrective actions.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing or assembly environment; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the road marking and removal business.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methods, inspection techniques, and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience with PDI programs, quality documentation, and root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Certifications in quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Supervisor) are a plus.
