Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share and revenue in domestic and international markets.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring alignment with business objectives, while setting and achieving aggressive sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and create strategic partnerships with key customers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Manage and expand customer relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, and performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful product launches, quality inspections, customer training, and post-sale support.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Lead the creation and execution of an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and drives brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and potential areas for product innovation.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts including website development, SEO, content marketing, email campaigns, and social media initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development of product marketing collateral, trade show materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels, including print, digital, and public relations.
  • Leadership and grow Marketing Manager.
  • Domestic and International marketing strategy development.
  • Actively engage with the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Development, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and align with market trends.
  • Collaborate with other Federal Signal subsidiaries to evaluate joint “go to market” strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and Executive teams to ensure strategic objectives and priorities are aligned.
  • Lead quality focus for equipment with cross functional team.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales and marketing performance reports to senior leadership, with recommendations for improvements.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across initiatives.
  • Monitor return on investment (ROI) for sales and marketing activities, optimizing strategies based on performance data.

Team Development and Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of sales professionals and marketing specialists.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to promote career growth and employee satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, required
  • MBA, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in direct sales and marketing
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role in direct sales and marketing.
  • Experience in construction, road maintenance, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing platforms, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in managing a P& L and driving ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and sales performance to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot), marketing automation tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong ability to execute and deliver results.
  • Innovative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
