Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center is hiring a Student Radiologic Technologist (Student Rad Tech)-Rotating Weekends in Clarksdale, MS. This is a full-time position.

Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking a motivated and dependable Student Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team. This position is designed for students nearing graduation who want to strengthen their clinical skills, gain valuable acute-care experience, and build a pathway toward employment as a Radiologic Technologist following completion of their program and required credentialing. Working under the appropriate supervision of qualified imaging professionals, the Student Radiologic Technologist assists with diagnostic imaging procedures, patient preparation, positioning, radiation safety, departmental operations, and other clinical activities consistent with demonstrated competency, Mississippi requirements, hospital policy, and the student's educational program. Requirements Key Responsibilities Assist with and perform routine diagnostic radiographic procedures under the level of supervision required by applicable law, hospital policy, and the student's educational program.Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations.Assist with the operation of radiographic equipment within demonstrated student competency.Follow established radiation safety and exposure-reduction practices.Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and confidentiality throughout imaging procedures.Assist with portable radiographic examinations and other imaging services as assigned and permitted.Review imaging quality with the supervising Radiologic Technologist.Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked imaging rooms and equipment.Follow infection prevention, patient identification, and hospital safety requirements.Assist with patient transportation and transfers as needed.Accurately complete authorized documentation within applicable hospital information systems.Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, technologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.Participate in departmental orientation, competency validation, training, and educational activities.Perform other duties appropriate to the student role as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Must be currently enrolled in the final semester of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Must remain in good academic and clinical standing with the educational program.Must have completed sufficient clinical education and competency validation to safely perform assigned duties. Licensure/Certification: Must meet all Mississippi regulatory requirements applicable to a Student Radiologic Technologist.Radiographic procedures involving ionizing radiation must be performed only under the supervision and direction required by applicable Mississippi law, hospital policy, and the student's educational program.Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by NWMRMC.
