Job Description
Menasha Packaging is hiring a Production Scheduling Manager in Pelahatchie, MS. This is a full-time position.
Position Summary
Manages the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories, tracking of progress of production, and reviewing of factors which affect production schedules.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve the production scheduling function
Analyzes incoming production order requirements and oversees master manufacturing schedule for assigned site(s) to assure exceptional customer service and optimal manufacturing efficiencies
Monitors materials inventory to effectively determine production schedules
Communicates upcoming scheduling conflicts with key stakeholders and recommends solutions
Collaborates with Operations team to forecast production labor overtime requirements
Analyzes daily back-log business reports to monitor workload and capacity requirements
Communicates schedule status and other related scheduling information at daily production meeting
Drives continuous improvement initiatives for production scheduling process and information flow
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting
