Job Description
Maximus is hiring a Subject Matter Expert - Transplant Policy (Consultant) in Tupelo, MS. This is a full-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project consultation and management of initiatives that achieve business goals and client objectives by building strong teams focused on solutions to drive revenue, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Must have technical capabilities, project management experience, process reengineering and process improvement skills, and business acumen of client operations in public programs.
- Serve as Senior Project Consultant for HSNA based on state and federal Requirements and regulation, including client requirements.
- Report directly to VP Health and Human Service and supports both strategic and tactical initiatives with department policies and procedures and management of technical solutions.
- Assess support issues and work with IT teams to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, budget, and client satisfaction goals.
- Create and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical operations team to manage System Health
- Reports, data fixes, work- around efforts, batch job processing, and external data interfaces for the client.
- Manage effective relationships with various Systems' teams, business partners, vendors, outsourcers, and consultants to benefit Maximus' mission and the Systems Organization's strategies and goals. - Serve as liaison between Business Operations and Maximus Systems Organization for assigned initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, direction, and project oversight as assigned by Technical Operations Director in support of Business Operations.
- Participate in the management of the Systems' Strategic Technology Plan by working with Business Operations management to define technical initiatives for the short and long term for that business unit.
- Ensure recommended technical initiatives support the overall technical direction established by the VP of Software Development and Director of Delivery and Technical Operations.
- Represent the client's interests at Systems meetings when appropriate (e.g. strategic planning, corporate tech management meetings, PMO meetings).
- Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards requiring the most advanced level of interpersonal, technical, and specialized skills.
- Develop new applications for area of expertise.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

- Monitor policy decision making and changes to advise on current practices. Identify stakeholders and maintain relationships with stakeholder groups at all levels (local, regional, national, or international).
- Examine policy reports and provide recommendations for best practice and implementation.
- Serves as leader of authority with expert-level knowledge in one or more areas.
- Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations.
- Plans, organizes, and guides projects and subordinate employees.
- May be called on to consult in other areas.
- May supervise groups of employees.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.
