What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will support and drive Lean manufacturing principles initiatives across manufacturing and operational areas to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
  • You will partner with operational teams to identify process inefficiencies, support root cause analysis activities, and implement Lean solutions that improve flow, reduce waste, and increase operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate and support Daily Management activities including KPI tracking, visual management, action planning, Gemba walks, and structured problem-solving routines.
  • Assist with Kaizen events, value stream mapping activities, standard work development, 5S implementation, and continuous improvement projects focused on operational excellence.
  • Coach and support frontline employees and supervisors on Lean principles, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement tools to strengthen operational capability and accountability.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics including throughput, downtime, scrap, productivity, and quality trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support operational improvement initiatives, training activities, and other business needs as required to support organizational objectives and continuous improvement efforts.

What makes you great

  • You must have aMaster's degree (MS/MA/MBA) with 0-4 years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) with 3+ years of related experience OR 10+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree. Technical or engineering degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, Lean implementation, training, or operational support environments.
  • Working knowledge of Lean methodologies including Daily Management, visual management, Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, flow, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience supporting operational improvement initiatives and cross-functional process improvement activities within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across frontline and leadership teams.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify trends, support problem-solving efforts, and recommend process improvements.
  • Experience within aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, or highly regulated operational environments preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of Lean Production System principles, including respect for people, continuous improvement (Kaizen), waste identification (Muda), and basic problem-solving, with the ability to apply these concepts to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost within one's role.
  • Demonstrates behaviors including humility, transparency, accountability, adaptability, collaboration, strong communication skills, and continuous learning within a fast-paced operational environment
