WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Supervise a staff of Medical and Safety Personal.
  • Maintain Safety and Health for 10 Koch Foods Locations.
  • Maintain OSHA file and support documents.
  • Accompany OSHA inspector on plant inspections.
  • Maintain Worker Comp fires for MS Complex.
  • Regularly inspect and review plant operations to assure compliance of all permit's operation and equipment with state and federal regulations.
  • Be involved in the effort to eliminate prevent or reduce the occurrence of safety health and medical issues.
  • Communicates safety policy and procedure changes to management personnel; ensure that all health safety policies procedures and practices are reviewed on an annual basis or as changes and updates are required by practices or regulation and are rolled-out in a timely manner.
  • Reviews all safety areas to review policies determine causes identify corrective actions and conducts training in areas such as: ergonomics emergency response team lockout tag out hazard communication and personal protective equipment.
  • Performs job site analysis to determine employee exposures and hazards.
  • This person must maintain a comprehensive filing system for documents pertaining to compliance with OSHA, EPA and local requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with complex leadership to discuss safety-related matters and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in Safety and Foods Safety Committee Meeting.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM...

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations OSHA hazard communications accident investigation and safety training methods.
  • Knowledge of industry best practice regarding safety and environmental approaches with PSM RMP safety practices.
  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills, Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

THE ENVIRONMENT TO EXPECT...

  • You’ll need to be able to walk, twist, bend and lift various weights.
  • You will be exposed to cold temperatures and slightly wet conditions.
