If you are a Maintenance Technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson, has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Olive Branch, MS, you will be responsible for performing or assisting in the maintenance, repair and replacement of the Appleton site manufacturing facility, which includes, but is not limited to buildings, equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and pneumatics.


In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Performs routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance vital necessary to building exterior/interior.
  • Assist and performs semi-skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of Appleton Group.
  • Assist with and performs installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, locks flooring / carpeting, pneumatic, mechanics, and electrical work.
  • Inspect properties and communicates with Property Management Group regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
  • Prepare and paint, woodwork, and performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet, and custodial duties.
  • Provides technical assistance regarding the quality and performance of machinery, conveyors, building and other facilities.
  • Organize and it maintains all tools, equipment, materials, owned by Appleton Group.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all Appleton group owned for repairs on leased forklifts, batteries and the like with various Vendors.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Extensive knowledge in technical fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in repair and troubleshooting of mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and basic electrical control systems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Prior forklift certification is required.
  • Camper form carpentry, flooring, painting, exterior building work and minor plumbing.
  • Ability to assess problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule which may include off hours weekends assignments.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and results driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Good computer skills and skilled in using Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in use of smartphones especially texting, email and use of Google calendars.
  • Her strong attention to detail confidentiality is required.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Technical College
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding to deal with various technical fields equivalent to Technical College training.
  • Have 5-8 years’ experience in repair and troubleshooting of mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and basic electrical control systems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Prior forklift certification is required
  • Can perform carpentry, flooring, painting, exterior building work and minor plumbing.
  • Has the ability to assess problems, collect data, establish facts and develop solutions.
  • Has the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include off hours weekends assignments.
