Description:

Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks an Automation Controls Engineer in Columbia, MO.

Job Description: Design and assure the performance of the product assembly and automation processes based on industrial and technological resources that guarantee performance to required specifications. Specify the automation architecture and test equipment, implementing and qualifying them in compliance with SPS principles. Contribute to continuous improvement actions for the process automation and test equipment. Select, validate, introduce and standardize new automation and test technologies and processes. Ensure the automation and the connectivity (Edge control, MES, LDS, Analytics) are successfully implemented in the manufacturing process.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related engineering field and experience (6 months with Master's or 2 years with Bachelor's) in automation system development in a manufacturing environment, or related occupation, which must include at least some education or experience in the following skills: Working in a high-mix, high complexity discreet manufacturing environment (industrial electrical equipment or automation systems); System integrations (Controllers, PLCs, PC, electromechanical systems, actuators, programming coding); PLC/HMI programming; and Troubleshooting and development of automated systems (Reading electrical/electronic signals, understanding IT/OT interactions in equipment, interpreting electrical/electronic schematics, integration of new hardware/software).
