Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program: In-Home Services Department: Personal Care Reports To: Registered Nurse Supervisor Job Type: Part-time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Classification: Clinical Staff Purpose Provide nursing support within delegated authority; reinforce RN training, observe CNAs, and report participant status changes, ensuring adherence to POC and agency policy. Essential Duties Conduct interim supervisory visits and participant condition checks under RN direction. Reinforce APC skill training after RN initial delegation; observe AIDE or CNA return demonstrations. Collect and report clinical data (vitals, skin integrity, bowel/bladder patterns). Document supervisory findings and submit them to RN for review. Participate in incident investigations and corrective action follow-up. Educate aides on infection control, reporting, and safety protocols. Support RN with admission or recertification documentation as assigned. Qualifications Current LPN license in Missouri; in good standing with Board of Nursing. Minimum one year experience in home- or long-term-care setting preferred. Competence in delegation, documentation, and participant safety. Current CPR/First Aid. Valid drivers license and background clearance. Supervision Works under the direction of an RN per Missouri Nurse Practice Act. Provides field oversight of CNAs/APC aides but does not approve Plans of Care. Performance Indicators Completeness of supervisory reports. Communication accuracy with RN and staff. Compliance with 13 CSR 70-91.010 delegation standards.
