The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for safely ensuring production output meets quality and productivity standards. You will also support shift transitions, maintain accurate production records, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives under the Toyota Production System (TPS). This person reports to the Shift Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Monitor and adjust machinery to safely maintain product quality and production requirements
• Perform and interpret inspections and test results, isolating or rejecting non-conforming materials
• Accurately record production data, including inventory, rejects, and work hours
• Assist with shift preparation, personnel coordination, and end-of-shift hand-offs
• Engage in TPS activities to support operational efficiency and improvement

Qualifications:

• Stable work history with previous manufacturing/machine operation experience and/or a strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively assist with training co-workers
• Good communication, computer and data entry, and decision-making skills

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in glass fabrication, operating equipment or similar responsibilities
• Demonstrated leadership ability or potential
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proven record of involvement (improvement ideas, team membership, etc.)
• Dependability with a record of consistent good attendance
• Available to work a 5-day work week with occasional work on Saturdays
