Description:

Dairy Farm Research Technician

Are you passionate about the excellent care of animals? Are you hard working and love to work on a team? This role is located at our farm which is the Purina Animal Nutrition Center. It is the home of scientific research and innovation for the last 125 years, where we continually work to unlock the greatest potential of every animal.

This is a Temporary 3rd shift position expected to run through Spring of 2025.

The milker/runner/floater position responsible for the collection of salable high quality milk from dairy cows and measurements of milk weights along with any required milk samples.

As a runner, this position is responsible for maintaining stall beds, flushing alleys, and movement of cows to and from parlor.

Shift schedule: Sunday through Saturday 3rd shift including every other weekend and Holiday ( 6: 00pm - 2: 30am)

Hourly Pay: $17.88 + $1.00 for hours worked between 6: 00pm - 2: 30am

Required Experience/Education/Competencies:

High school diploma or GED

Ability to lift 50# repeatedly

Preferred Experience:

Animal care experience, livestock preferred
