Description:
Seeking a dynamic individual to assist in continuing the build out of a new department within our operations Division supporting alternative investments. Individual should feel comfortable performing various functions and responsibilities associated with the product(s) in scope. The individual will play a centralized role in leading our firm's effort to expand the array of products able to be offered to our branch teams and clients. This role is for an individual who is comfortable representing Operations while partnering with stakeholders within other departments, divisions, and client segments.
- Individual will take a lead role representing the Operations Division within cross-divisional working groups for the consideration of onboarding new product(s) to the firm.
- Individual will assist the working group in researching, consultation, and advisement of impact to operations, e.g., considerations, digital build, etc.
- Associate will assist in seeking out the right subject matter experts within Operations and outside of it as well to understand impact.
- Individual will vet out varying methodologies for the potential build and work with their leader to determine the optimal path forward.
- Associate will assist in establishing criteria, requirements, and completion of EPICs to support various endeavors.
- Associate will lead efforts to identify ownership across the capability structure and assist with coordination of the workflow with impacted stakeholders.
- Must be able to understand the upstream/downstream impacts to other departments and divisions within the firm.
- Explore multiple options available and arrive at appropriate solution that aligns with area goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills are required in order to research non-routine questions and recognize complex situations involving client accounts and/or firm systems.
- Ability to analyze, research and make decisions on non-routine issues independently with little or no guidance.
- Deep understanding of regulatory environment and ability to apply knowledge to reach appropriate conclusions in best interest of clients and firm.
- Associate is expected to continually increase acumen in the alternative assets space.
- Individual is expected to become acclimated with technology utilized within the department.
- Responsible for Records and Information Management (RIM coordinator) for department.
- Individual will assist with establishing controls and oversight for any new work staying within our department.
- Individual must have their Series 7 license.
- Individual should have familiarity with varying products within the capital markets.
- Individual should be aware of firm policies, structure, and organization.
- Individual should be comfortable and be able to drive results in an ambiguous environment.
- Individual should be able to research, and problem solve questions and or issues arising.
- Individual must be able to clearly articulate thoughts both verbally and through the written channel.
- Individual should feel comfortable representing Edward Jones to external vendor(s), product partners, and other entities.
- Individual should feel comfortable is a consistently evolving space.
- Individual should be able to evaluate processes and assist in mitigating inherent risks.
- Individual must be well organized and able to create structure and documentation for work performed.
- Individual may be asked to travel from time to time as the job requires.
