Hours: Hours - 3: 30pm-2: 00am (Monday through Thursday)

Job Description
As an Operations Supervisor on this Express Scripts team you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of a team of fulfillment representatives, technicians, and pharmacy clerks who work together to ensure our patients receive timely and accurate medication shipments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and improve productivity performance standards across team
  • Plan and direct work flow and project assignments
  • Develop, track and monitor employee's safety, compliance to quality, service and production standards
  • Assist Pharmacy senior leadership team in monitoring prescription turnaround time and costs to ensure compliance with cost to fill goals
  • Address staff concerns and day to day operational, system, customer service, quality, and professionalism issues
  • Responsible for team's adherence to employment policies and corporate values
  • Work hands on in production as needed
  • Recognizes, recommends, and implements operational process improvements
  • Assist Pharmacy senior leadership team in analyzing operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy
  • Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve
  • Participate in the hiring process and training
  • Represent pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings and projects


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required, BA/BS degree preferred
  • 3+ years relevant operations experience (i.e., pharmacy, warehouse, distribution, production, manufacturing, or engineering)
  • 2+ year leadership experience or in depth exposure to coaching and leading a team preferred
  • Must be eligible to maintain a pharmacy technician license issued through the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively develop, train and coach less experienced team members
  • Knowledge of lean or process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, make independent decisions
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times
  • Ability to monitor daily operations of a unit and actively assist or provide direction to subordinates
  • Willingness to work on the production floor with your team as needed while maintaining supervisor duties
  • Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, and email
  • Experience with a hand held tracking system and Oracle software preferred
