AMETEK, Inc is hiring!

Description:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Production Associate who is able to set up, prepare and operate machines and assemble products based on drawings. The ideal candidate will need to have attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly of components and install into enclosures.
  • Will be required to use a variety of power saws, routers and drills
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of work area and tools on daily and weekly basis.
  • Recording and reporting production data and performance indicators.
  • Will be required to lift up to 50 pounds individually and team lift up to 120 pounds.
  • Will need to be able to work independently after being trained.


Required Experience & Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment


Core Competency Requirements:
  • Proficient with measuring devices, tape measures, square, rulers, calipers, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
  • Carpentry skills
  • Computer skills
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency with hand tools
  • Comfortable using power saws, routers, and drills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills to help in other departments as needed
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends
  • Stamina to stand and walk for 8-to-10-hour shifts
  • Ability to be forklift certified
