Housing Advocacy Specialist (Supportive Housing)

Are you passionate about helping individuals and families achieve long-term housing stability? Three Rivers Community Action is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Housing Advocacy Specialist to join our Supportive Housing team. In this role, you'll provide housing-focused case management, support tenancy stability, and help participants overcome barriers that may jeopardize their housing success. About the Role As a Housing Advocacy Specialist, you'll work directly with individuals and households living in Site-Based Supportive Housing. You'll help participants maintain stable housing through relationship-building, advocacy, service coordination, and proactive problem-solving. You'll collaborate with participants, property managers, and community partners to ensure individuals have the resources and support needed to sustain housing and achieve their goals. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and a participant-centered approach while balancing program requirements and compliance standards. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is Monday-Friday and will be based in Austin. What You'll Do Provide housing-focused case management and ongoing participant supportHelp participants establish goals and develop strategies to maintain stable housingConnect individuals and families with community resources and supportive servicesAdvocate for participants and help address barriers that may impact housing retentionBuild and maintain relationships with property managers, housing providers, and community partnersCoordinate services and referrals to promote long-term housing successMaintain accurate case notes, documentation, and program recordsSupport program compliance and funding requirements while delivering participant-centered services What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has a bachelor's degree with previous case management/service coordination experienceIs passionate about helping individuals and families achieve stability and successBuilds trusting relationships through empathy, respect, and cultural humilityDemonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsStays organized and manages multiple priorities effectivelyTakes initiative and follows through on commitmentsAdapts well to changing situations and participant needsWorks collaboratively with community partners and team membersBrings a trauma-informed, equity-centered approach to supporting others Bonus qualifications: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and/or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)Fluency in a language other than English, especially Spanish or Somali Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $28.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experienceGenerous paid time off and paid holidaysComprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement matchOpportunities for professional growth and development Why Three Rivers?
