Job Description

Three Rivers Community Action Inc is hiring a Energy Assistance Program Specialist in Zumbrota, MN. This is a full-time position.

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) Specialists process energy assistance applications, provide support to participants, and ensure accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment. You'll assist with document submission, conduct outreach, and refer participants to relevant programs. The role also requires adherence to EAP guidelines, ongoing training, and a commitment to helping low-income families and individuals in the community. EAP is a seasonal program with applications processed from approximately September through May each year. Various factors will affect the actual end date, but position is expected to last no more than 6 months. Successful EAP Specialists may be asked to return for the following EAP season. This temporary full-time position (40 hours per week) is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentTwo years of work experience using a computer, performing data entry, and providing customer serviceAbility to pass a required background study, as defined by the positionProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AdobeStrong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to solve problems, identify new solutions, apply critical thinking and adapt to changing priorities, all while working in a fast-paced environment Extensive organizational and administrative skills, attention to details, and an ability to handle multiple tasksSelf-motivated and confident, with ability to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both verbal and written Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in one or more languages other than English, especially Spanish or SomaliExperience with Laserfiche, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software About Three Rivers Community Action Join Three Rivers Community Action, a dynamic nonprofit organization established in 1966 by dedicated local citizens.
