Country Inn & Suites of Saint Cloud East is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to help keep our hotel safe, clean, and running smoothly. If you have experience in building maintenance, enjoy hands‑on work, and want a role where every day is different, we’d love to meet you.
About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the hotel’s building, equipment, and grounds. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and high‑quality guest experience while staying within budget guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, professional service to all guests
Inspect and maintain hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration
Respond quickly to maintenance requests and resolve guest concerns
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, guest rooms, and public areas
Maintain landscaping, parking areas, and outdoor spaces
Complete routine room maintenance to meet brand standards
Perform general repair tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and carpet cleaning
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
Keep mechanical rooms and storage areas clean and organized
Follow all hotel safety and security procedures
Communicate issues promptly to management
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and small equipment
Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal disruption to guests
Willingness to obtain CPO certification if required
Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements
This role involves regular indoor and outdoor work, including:
Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
Working with tools, equipment, chemicals, and cleaning agents
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
Compensation & Benefits
Starting at $17/hour, depending on experience
Full‑time and part‑time positions available
Flexible scheduling; some evenings or weekends may be required
