Prairie Restorations Inc is hiring a Proactive Sales Associate in Princeton, MN. This is a full-time position.
Position: Proactive Sales Associate Reports To: Service Sales Manager Classification: $/Hourly Direct Reports: None Location: Princeton, MN-Onsite The mission at Prairie Restorations, Inc. Position Summary: TheProactive Sales Associate position is responsible for building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and exceeding sales goals. They will take initiative to anticipate customer needs and consistently pursue opportunities to grow revenue through strategic prospecting, effective communication, and exceptional customer service. Qualification Requirements Associates degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management or other related field with an emphasis in native plant communities. Minimum of 1 year sales and marketing experience Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Zoho Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills Valid MN Drivers License Primary Responsibilities: Proactively identify and pursue new residential and commercial sales opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and lead generation. Meet with prospective clients to assess property needs and recommend customized native plantings and maintenance solutions. Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and contracts that align with customer expectations and company standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through consistent communication and exceptional customer service. Follow up promptly on all leads, proposals, and customer inquiries to maximize sales opportunities. Develop a strong understanding of the company's services, products, pricing, and seasonal offerings to effectively educate customers. Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure projects are scheduled, executed, and completed according to customer expectations. Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements, measurements, and potential challenges. Track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using Zoho. Identify opportunities to upsell installation services, maintenance programs, and PRI products (seed, plants, trees and shrubs) Stay informed about industry trends, local market conditions, and competitor offerings. Represent the company professionally at community events, trade shows, networking functions, and other business development opportunities. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Enhancing PRI credibility within the restoration community. Participation in the development, facilitation and presentation of PRI and our mission at trade shows, conferences, seminars, and other events. Ability to assess customer needs and recommend customized landscaping solutions. Knowledge of native landscapes, native plants and how they are used in restoration projects (or the ability to quickly learn). Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Ability to prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and contracts. Proficiency with CRM software (Zoho), Microsoft Office, and other sales technology tools. Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and follow-through skills. Ability to read landscape plans, property layouts, and project specifications (preferred). Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations and project teams. Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer properties and job sites Miscellaneous Duties Other duties as assigned Work Environment Proactive Sales Associate typically works in an office setting but frequently travels to networking events and meetings. Physical Demands This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanner/printer/copier/fax, phones and filing cabinets. This is largely a sedentary role, however the ability to drive/travel to other locations for events is a key part of this position.
