Job Title: Supported Employment Services Direct Support Professional

Location: Hopkins, MN and other areas across the Twin Cities Metro area

Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday 6: 30 am - 4 pm

Wage: $20 per hour (including Full-Time or Part-Time benefits based on schedule)

Job Summary:

As a Supported Employment Services Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, interfering behaviors, and/or medical complexities at their jobs within the community. Staff may be working 1: 1 with a person or within a group based on the job site in the community.

Essential Job Duties:

• Personal cares including bathroom supports and medication administration
• Accompanying individuals into the community to participate in a variety of activities
• Facilitating personal choice and promoting self-advocacy
• Helping others understand the individual’s capabilities
• Following specific behavior plans and program goals
• Working to improve the quality of life for those we serve

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proficiency in spoken and written English language
• Comfortable with personal cares for males and females
• Must be comfortable driving large passenger vehicle
• Have a vehicle with current car insurance
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
• Have a Wi-Fi-enabled device for work related purposes
• Successful clearance from a DHS Background Study

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnosis
• Experience working with individuals with verbal and physical aggressions
