Description:
Job Title: Maintenance Staff
Location: Twin Cities Metro Area; Various Job Sites
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7: 00am – 3: 00pm; some weekend availability as needed
Wage: $25.00 per hour including Full Time benefits.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing facilities maintenance and repair support across Orion Associates, Meridian Services, and Zenith Services. This role ensures that residential homes, program sites, and office environments are safe, functional, and well maintained through preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and coordination with external vendors. The position supports organizational operations by addressing facility-related issues that impact safety, compliance, and day to day service delivery
This organization supports 30+ group homes, 3 office buildings, and a day program around the metro area.
Essential Job Duties:
• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance across residential homes, program sites, and office locations for Orion Associates, Meridian Services, and Zenith Services
• Complete general repairs including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and fixture work within scope and skill level
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and opportunities for preventative upkeep
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues that impact safety, accessibility, or continuity of operations
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized or licensed repair work, including scheduling and on‑site support
• Support property upkeep during move‑ins, move‑outs, and program transitions, including patching, painting, and basic repairs
• Communicate clearly with program leadership and office staff regarding maintenance status, timelines, and limitations
• Maintain basic documentation of completed work, outstanding repairs, and recurring facility issues
• Safely manage tools, materials, and equipment while following organizational safety and purchasing guideline
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required in a maintenance related job
• 18 years of age
• Proficient in spoken and written English language
• Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background check
• Have a vehicle to use for work related purposes with current car insurance
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy
• Have a Wi-Fi-enabled device for work related purposes
• Ability to bend and lift items in excess of 50 lbs
Preferred Experience:
• Ability to supply own tools; though they will be provided to you if not
