The Controls Engineer Intern is responsible for supporting Actus Nutrition’s plant controls systems. This role provides operational support of our controls systems including troubleshooting manufacturing issues, optimizing system performance, and driving plant data collection and analysis.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support the development of functional description (FD) documents in Excel by analyzing existing PLC code (Ladder Logic / Rockwell PLCs) and pin charts.
• Work closely with plant teams to verify these documents, gather their feedback on any changes, and update the FDs to reflect those modifications accurately
• Help improve the FD process by suggesting and implementing more efficient methods for documentation.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure the processes outlined in the FDs are clearly communicated and understood.

Position Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on control systems or industrial automation.
• Familiarity with control systems and ladder logic concepts; prior exposure to PLCs or automation software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pin charts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external resources
