Job Description
Midwest Landscaping Corporation/From The Ground Up is hiring a Account Manager in Owatonna, MN. This is a full-time position.
The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts while driving revenue growth, client retention, and service excellence across landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal services. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients and operations, ensuring contracted services are delivered to company standards while actively identifying opportunities to increase account value through enhancements, renewals, and additional services. Develop opportunities for new securing new business across all service lines. Key Responsibilities Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial and/or residential accounts Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships Conduct regular site visits to evaluate service quality and client satisfaction and proactively identify issues and opportunities Ensure all contracted services are delivered in alignment with company standards Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure profitability, partnering with operations to troubleshoot the unexpected Partner with Operations to maintain project success Sales & Revenue Growth Maintain responsibility for revenue growth within assigned accounts Identify and close opportunities for: o Landscape enhancements o Irrigation and/or Tree services and upgrades o Lawn and landscape maintenance programs o Exterior site improvements o Snow and ice management services Prepare and present estimates, proposals, and service agreements Manage contract renewals, pricing adjustments, and scope expansions Achieve or exceed individual sales and margin targets Maintain an active pipeline of enhancement and add-on service opportunities Develop pipeline for and secure new sales Maintain consistent communication with Branch Manager regarding pipeline, issues, and wins Operations Coordination Collaborate with Branch Manager and field manager teams to ensure efficient service delivery Communicate job scope, client expectations, and changes to operations staff using company communication tools (Aspire, Ops meetings, etc.) Monitor service delivery across all seasonal operations Collaborate with Operations to secure and support sub-contractors Customer Service & Issue Resolution Address client concerns in a timely and professional manner Proactively resolve service issues to maintain client satisfaction and retention Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding service performance Maintain consistent communication with Branch Manager Administrative & Systems Management Maintain accurate account records, job notes, and sales activity in Aspire or designated CRM Maintain AR and collection for assigned portfolio Track account performance including revenue, costs, and profitability Ensure proper documentation of contracts, proposals, and change orders Culture and Strategy Support the values and strategic coals of FTGU Contribute to a positive work environment Other duties, as assigned Required 2+ years of experience in account management, sales, or operations Experience in landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, or related field Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and close opportunities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in CRM systems (Aspire preferred) and Microsoft Office Valid drivers license and insurable driving record, including DOT medical card Preferred Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field Experience managing commercial property accounts Prior experience with contract-based service businesses
