We are seeking an experienced Landscape Designer to join our growing Design & Build team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting with clients, developing creative outdoor spaces, presenting designs, and turning those designs into sold projects. Our production teams are ready to build we're looking for a talented designer who can help keep them busy with exceptional projects. Position Overview As a Landscape Designer, you will guide clients through the initial consultation, design, proposal, and sale of their outdoor project. This role blends landscape design, creativity, client relationships, and sales. You'll work closely with our estimating and production teams to ensure your designs are beautiful, functional, realistic, and ready for construction. Client Consultation & Sales Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their goals, budget, property, and design expectationsBuild strong relationships and provide an excellent client experienceDevelop creative solutions based on the client's needs and propertyPresent designs and proposals clearly and professionallyEducate clients on materials, plants, options, and recommendationsFollow up on proposals and confidently close landscape projectsMaintain an active pipeline of design and sales opportunities Landscape Design & Development Create professional landscape designs that enhance the beauty, functionality, and value of each propertyDesign outdoor living spaces, planting areas, patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other landscape featuresDevelop planting plans and recommend appropriate plant species for Minnesota's climateSelect hardscape materials, plants, finishes, and other landscape elementsConsider grading, drainage, elevations, existing conditions, and long-term functionality when developing designsTake accurate site measurements and evaluate existing property conditionsPrepare designs and information needed for accurate estimating and proposalsRevise designs based on client feedback when necessary Collaboration & Production Support Work closely with our estimating and Design & Build production teamsEnsure designs are practical, buildable, and clearly communicatedProvide accurate plans, selections, measurements, and specifications for sold workParticipate in project handoffs to ensure the production team understands the design and client expectationsAnswer design-related questions that may arise during installationMaintain strong communication between the client, sales team, estimating team, and production team Qualifications Landscape industry experience required, preferably in landscape design or landscape salesProven landscape design experienceSales experience and the ability to confidently present and sell landscape projectsStrong knowledge of plants, plant health, and landscape materials appropriate for MinnesotaKnowledge of hardscapes, outdoor living spaces, grading, drainage, and landscape constructionAbility to read and understand site plans and property measurementsExperience with landscape design softwareStrong communication and presentation skillsCreative mindset with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple clients and designs simultaneouslySelf-motivated, organized, and dependableValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordTeam-oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional results What We Offer Full-time, year-round positionCompetitive compensationCompany vehicle for business useCompany-provided technology and toolsMedical insurance options for eligible employees401(k) with company matchPaid holidaysPTO and Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) in accordance with company policyEstablished production crews and equipment ready to bring your designs to lifeSupport from experienced estimating, operations, and administrative teamsOpportunity to design a wide variety of high-quality residential outdoor spacesCareer growth with an established Twin Cities landscape company About Landscapes Unlimited Landscapes Unlimited Outdoors is a locally operated, full-service landscape company serving the Twin Cities metro area since 1999.
