Description:

Truterra Commercial Account Manager

This position will work remote/virtual.

The Truterra Commercial Account Manager is the expert on row crop and/or livestock offerings and is responsible for positioning Truterra's commercial programs and our overall platform to food, fuel, fiber, feed and dairy customers. This role will work cross functionally to ensure we are connecting these customers to our network of growers via our retail network.

Strategy Execution and Commercial Account Management
  • Leads Truterra strategy execution by commercial account
  • In collaboration with Truterra leadership team, responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans linked with portfolio and product line strategies
  • In collaboration with Truterra leadership team, ensure effective implementation of company strategy by creating and executing strategic business plans by product line and key customer
  • Tracks performance indicators and ensures achievement; this includes penetration within existing commercial accounts
  • Partners with Agronomic Insights Manager to ensure customer contract and product delivery
  • Understands and owns market backed approach for programs to be connected with our upstream sales team (growers and retailers)

Prospecting
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Sales Team, responsible for generating new customer sales of various soil health products
  • Delivering high volume of outreach and prospecting through leads generated in various platforms
  • Delivers Truterra platform overview, presentations, and communications to food, fuel, fiber, feed and dairy customers
  • Partners with various industry partners to explore event sponsorship, marketing and cross promotional opportunities to expand the presence of Truterra in the commercial space


Sales Reporting and Administrative Functions
  • Customer maintenance, support and reporting all through Salesforce
  • Utilize Salesforce for marketing outreach to bring more awareness to Trtuerra outside of the existing customer base
  • Maintain a working list of prospects and opportunities within Salesforce to inform leadership of progress toward aligned sales goals
  • Remain knowledgeable about evolving guidance (SBTi, GHGP, etc) that impact our customers needs
  • Expense management through Concur


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent experience - required
  • 7 or more years of sales/marketing positioning or account management experience - required
  • Ability to See the "big picture" of the organization and understands how the key drivers of the business relate to each other, work together to produce profitable growth, and relate to the job
  • Skills in finance and risk management - including contract management - required
  • Food CPG and/or dairy experience - preferred
  • Experience with corporate sustainability, SBTi, Green House Gas Protocol - preferred
  • Solid experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom) and CRM software (Salesforce) - required
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including evenings and some weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasons - required

Salary is negotiable based on experience: $117, 920 - $176, 880
