Marketing Manager, Crop Protection - Proprietary HIF
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Marketing Manager for our CPP business. Th ere are three open positions in the Strategic Marketing team . T his individual would be responsible for either the Proprietary HIF, Partnered HIF or our Micronutrients/Fertilizer Additives/Seed Treatments portfolio s .
This position is specific to the Proprietary HIF role. This p osition would be at the forefront for shaping the strategic vision, implementing business strategy, and delivering the financial ob jectives o f th eir r espec tive portfolio .
The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture with a proven track record of delivering consistent growth, ability to identify and evaluate complex business problems and provide well-throughout solutions . This role requires a highly collaborative and innovative individual who embraces a healthy team culture . Someone who can clearly communicate, influence and inspire others to execute on an overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy and P& L Ownership (
5 0): - Own P& L for either Proprietary HIF, Partnered HIF or Micronutrients/Fertilizer Additives/Seed Treatments portfolio including management of investments & expenses to deliver the bottom line & growth
- Portfolio manager - r esponsible for the development of marketing strategies that include go to market, the 4 P's, channel, product lifecycle, customer, customer segmentation & new products/services
- Owns innovation strategy in collaboration with R& D and Brand Marketing
- Engage d with FP& A on financial projections and levers/actions to drive P& L performance
- Communicates strateg y and engages with field facing teams and sales teams that execute on go to market
- Collaborates with Sourcing and responsible for key buy decisions, portfolio strategy, key fill communication/execution & financial impact
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership (30%): - Demonstrates influential leadership to achieve success when working cross functionally and through others.
- Partners with business experts on insights and development of pricing and trade execution
- Develops a deep understanding of market and industry dynamics, business, competition, brand landscape, customers, consumers and industry
- Builds and maintains relationships with key customers, suppliers, and other business partners
- P rimary decision maker for many actions that would primarily impact your P& L - including functions in Sales, R& D, Brand Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Finance
Business Insights and Analytics ( 20 %): - Establishes and monitors business KPIs to track progress and ensure alignment with objectives
- Leverages and owns business insights ( i.e. market, customer, retailer, competitive, sales, pricing) and business analytics to make fact-based, data-driven decisions
- Builds business processes including risk management and negotiations with suppliers and/or customers
Qualifications - Ag experience: Minimum of 5 years, preferably with CPP experience.
- M arketing and/or Sales experience: Preferably both.
- Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in related field
- 5+ years ofsuccessful management of product / portfolio P& Land/or sales management
- Familiarity with modern agronomic practices and technologies.
- Preferred: Familiar ity with ag retail - channel & industry knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills & public speaking experience
- Strong work ethic and competitive nature: Driven to achieve and excel.
- Proven e xecution skills: Ability to implement plans, prioritize and show effective organizational / time management capabilities
- Ability to collaborate wel l within a team and influence others without authority

The salary range for this role is $120, 880 - $181, 320
