Lead Data Engineer

Position Description:

Lead Data Engineer for Land O'Lakes, Inc., Arden Hills, MN.

Leverage advanced SQL, data engineering & data modeling techniques, cloud-native data solutions, and agile framework to drive successful business outcomes for Dairy Data and Analytics Information Technology (IT)productteam; build out data warehouse and/or data lake; work with heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets using various data integration technologies (ETL/ELT, data replication/CDC, message-oriented data movement, API design, etc.); design data integration solutions using tools including Qlik, Databricks, Informatica, Snowflake, OBIEE, and MuleSoft; function as a technical lead, working closely with developers, data analysts, and business to ensure delivery and implementation ofaccurate, consistent, reliable, and sustainable solutions; work with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; influence dataengineeringprocesses that result in highly accurate and trusted data assets for use across organization; influence stakeholders to ensure investments in data-driven solutions are centered on optimizing clearly defined and quantified business outcomes; implement data structures using standards and best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, database, and other technologies; and apply working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, cloud-native data solutions like Microsoft Azure, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with a variety of databases including Snowflake, Oracle & MS-SQL to develop data engineering solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field and 7 years' progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Engineer

Must have seven (7) years of experience with the following: Building data integration solutions using tools like Qlik, Databricks, Informatica, Snowflake, OBIEE, MuleSoft, etc.; Advanced SQL, data engineering & data modeling techniques; and Building out & supporting data warehouse and/or data lake.

Must have three (3) years of experience with the following: Functioning as a technical lead, working closely with developers and data analysts, and hands-on implementation; Implementing data structures using standards and best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, database, and other technologies; Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, cloud-native data solutions like Microsoft Azure, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases like Snowflake, Oracle and MS-SQL; . Working with heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets using various data integration technologies (ETL/ELT, data replication/CDC, message-oriented data movement, API design, etc.); and Working with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Salary: $119, 746.00 to $181, 320.00/year
