Inventory Control Specialist
The Inventory Control Specialist position exists to organize and manage inventory movement to support accurate and efficient production operations.
Core Office Hours: Sunday - Thursday between 7: 00am and 5: 00pm, this role may on occasion require OT based on the business needs.
Salary is negotiable based on experience: $59, 840 - $89, 760
The following are some of the duties expected of the position. The list is not exclusive, and other duties may be assigned according to business needs.
- Complete an accurate cycle count on all ingredients and packaging materials weekly.
- Communicate ingredient or packaging material orders to purchaser to be scheduled.
- Create Production Work Orders weekly once the Production Schedule has been confirmed.
- Validate product generation matches Catalyst records.
- Validate ingredient and packaging consumption matches Catalyst records.
- Correct Production records in a timely manner as needed.
- Work with Production Supervision to correct errors in Production records so that Catalyst is accurately maintained.
- Manage product going on and off the Off Grade report.
- Process Off Grade sales.
- Prepare Big Rocks Scorecard used to make process improvements by Operations leadership.
- Record and calculate cheese yields to analyze weekly production against the Annual Business Plan (ABP).
- Update the Monthly Waste Barrel Tracking report on Power BI.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Preferred Education: - 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
Required Competencies & Other Skills: - Strong computer proficiency particularly in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and JD Edwards/Catalyst.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment consisting of email, face to face and phone contact.
- Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness, business acumen, creative thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member to fulfill all job duties.
- Ability to deliver results and make decisions while juggling multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills.
- Able and willing to obtain forklift certification.
Preferred Skills: - Forklift experience
- 1 + years of food manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements: - Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
- Required to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
