This is a REMOTE/VIRTUAL role that will require travel to Arden Hills to support customer meetings, team activities, and planning.

Agronomic Carbon Program Manager, you will manage a team of Program Coordinators responsible for end-to-end technical development & evaluation of projects and programs supporting sustainability within agricultural cropping, dairy, and livestock systems. This team develops and documents program details and requirements, including aligned tech platform and operational requirements, as Truterra scales certain successful project efforts to commercially launched programs. Responsibilities also include supporting the evaluation of viability and business use cases of pilot scale projects and program execution in partnership with multi-functional teams.
The Agronomic Carbon Program Lead will be responsible for continued development and implementation of Truterra's Innovation Pipeline, which includes stage gate and prioritization processes. Evolution of these processes will be done in close partnership with Marketing to enable cross-functional and leadership visibility and prioritization alignment on projects across Truterra, not just program development.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage team of 4-5 employees responsible for development, execution, and evaluation of projects and programs that support rigorous and credible sustainability practice within agricultural cropping, dairy, and livestock systems - program elements include eligibility criteria, target geographies, contract management, supply planning, and timeline.
- Collaborate with IT and Tech colleagues to develop and document functional business and technology requirements to support pilot project and commercial scale programs
- Collaborate with standards & methodologies expertise on project and program protocols, approaches to quantifying emissions, and validation/verification
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to determine financials and pricing models for projects and programs
- Facilitate co-op and farmer engagement and enrollment in new projects both directly and through appropriate stakeholders
- Support sales enablement and initial launch of commercial programs after completion of development through pipeline
- Optimize the end-to-end development processes to successfully assess and scale new projects
- Own prioritization of projects, plan efficient workflow, and design studies to support key initiatives in discovery, product development and market development phases
Required Experience & Education: - Bachelors' degree, or higher, in STEM field
- 10 or more years of work experience leading new business development and growth, strategy development, interfacing with executive teams, and project leadership
- 5 or more years of agricultural industry experience
- Experience building, growing and leading teams
- 5 or more years of experience developing and leading stage-gate or other innovation pipeline frameworks
- Proven ability to manage, build and empower a high-performing, technical team
- Experience managing complex and fast-paced projects with a high degree of ambiguity
Preferred Experience: - Experience managing ag and natural resources project work preferred
- Green House Gas experience preferred
Hiring salary is negotiable based on experience: $117, 920 - $176, 880
