Description:

As a FPI Processor you will operate various pieces of equipment utilized in the Fluorescent Penetrant examination of precision aluminum and magnesium castings. Assists NDT personnel in achieving departmental goals.

Precision Investment Castings for Aerospace & Defense | CPP

What will you do?
  • Organizes the materials, supplies and work area for completion of the assignments.
  • Check documentation and castings to ensure that all required operations have been completed before beginning assignment. Check previous operations have been completed and there are no unacceptable conditions that interfere or mask the radiographic operations. If these conditions exist, the casting will be returned to the previous operation.
  • Accurately mark casting with the assigned numbers for proper identification.
  • Organize work area, chemicals and related materials necessary to complete assignments on time. Assists in maintaining the department records as required.
  • Prepares castings as required by the work instructions for interpretation by certified Level II Fluorescent Penetrant Technicians.
  • Accurately complete documentation necessary for assignments.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area

What will make you a successful candidate?
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 160 hours of training and 16 hours of classroom training.
