Description:

Summary:

Assist in the day-to-day functions of the accounting department by performing the following duties in an efficient manner. Acts as the liaison between creditors and customers and manages overdue accounts.

Duties:
  • B2B daily collections on customer accounts.
  • Complete customer lien waiver requests.
  • Investigate and resolve customer questions regarding billed invoices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain & update customer tax exempt certificates in 3 rd party tax software.
  • Maintain customer files, tax forms, and other customer information.
  • Complete credit reviews on active customer accounts.
  • Process checks and ACH/wire payments received; apply payments in computer system; resolve payment discrepancies; ensure that discounts are taken with provided terms
  • Send monthly statements to customers.
  • Load invoices on customer websites as required.
  • Assist with other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned or needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience in high volume B2B collections.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Knowledge of liens and lien waivers is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment and to see and hear as necessary for efficient personal communication, including handling customers both on the phone as well as in person.

Equipment Used:

Telephone, personal computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, postage machine. Typical office conditions, limited space, privacy. Typical noise level is low to moderate.

Pay Type: Hourly

Min Hiring Range: $23.00 USD

Max Hiring Range: $27.00 USD
