If you are a Test Engineering professional with an electrical, mechanical, or chemical background looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting role for you! Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will be working within a quality laboratory environment to support measurement and analytical technologies.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Collaborating with design, manufacturing, and supplier performance groups to develop qualified tests to verify product performance and quality.
  • Developing and executing test plans for field returns to measure performance against published specifications, perform basic electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics, discover possible quality issues, and report findings to field personnel and product teams.
  • Familiarizing yourself with product and functional specifications and international testing standards pertaining to industrial and process measurement transmitters.
  • Performing Equipment Safety Reviews to identify environmental, health, and safety concerns related to equipment built, purchased, or modified for our use, and associated Test Risk Assessments
  • Automating global processes and procedures when able to improve efficiency and effectiveness of critical group functions.
  • Working with highly sophisticated test equipment including optical microscopes, infrared imaging, single-axis vibration testing, environmental/humidity chambers, custom data acquisition stations, Highly Accelerated Life Test chambers, Highly Accelerated Stress Test chambers, and more.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of two (2) years or more of applicable experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • Familiar with common environmental stress testing
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently or with others
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Competent understanding / utilization of common electronics lab equipment and pressurized systems

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $84, 000-$112, 000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.​
