Description:

The Shipping Coordinator will complete the shipping process for both Domestic and International Shipments. You will have direct contact with customers via phone and email regarding shipments and expedites.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • International and Domestic Shipments- Release and process Domestic Pick Slips to the Shipping Department multiple times per day. Release and process international pick slips to the Shipping Department for both single export shipments and consolidations. Coordinates shipments with Intercompany offices to obtain the necessary documents to release shipments. Contacts and works directly with Freight Forwarders to arrange shipment pickups. Prepare all necessary export documents to assure all Trade Compliance requirements have been satisfied. Obtain and retain all required documents to comply with Emerson's record retention policy. Must handle direct and indirect customer contact with diplomacy and sensitivity. Coordinates lost shipment tracking and processes claims for loss or damage.
  • Operate with Minimum Supervision - Operates independently with minimum supervision for extended periods of time.
  • New Account Setup - Setup new ship to and Freight Forwarder accounts as necessary using Emerson's Customer Financial Services website.
  • Communicate to Customer Service/Operations Department - Works directly with Tescom's Master Scheduler and world area Material Planners to assure on time shipments. Consolidates orders, establishes order reservations, order priorities and communicates other special shipping requirements to Customer Service and Operations department.
  • Productivity and Efficiency - Continuously seeks and recommends ways to improve the quality function capability, methods, and procedures, and to increase department/division productivity.

You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • High school education/GED.
  • Two years’ customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to work accurately with numbers.
  • Strong ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, distributors and employees.
  • Skilled at working in a cooperative and team-oriented environment as well as independently.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • According to Government Regulations all employees in this job classification must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

The salary range for this role is $45, 500 - $74, 000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
