Description:

If you are an Electrical Design Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opening for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will play a direct role in developing pressure or temperature measurement products and technologies. This requires working multi-functionally with all aspects of product development engineering, product test, manufacturing engineering and supply chain.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Assist in new product development activities such as: circuit design, peer reviews, product qualification planning and testing; identify and use proven technologies, leverage existing product designs, create original circuit designs, and prepare required technical documentation and data.
  • Apply your working knowledge of relevant technology and industry/company standards to achieve robust product designs in a team environment.
  • Research and develop new ideas and technologies for implementation into our products.
  • Prepare detailed plans necessary to complete assigned projects.
  • Perform occasional product technical support through submitting, reviewing, and approving engineering change notifications, managing, and driving cost savings opportunities, or assisting with the investigation of field applications to ensure product functionality, quality, and conformance.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an engineering school.
  • Zero (0) or more years of applicable experience.
  • Familiar with standard electrical engineering laboratory equipment, and instruments.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • ABET-accredited engineering degree.
  • Experience with electronics hardware including digital and analog circuit design and analysis, microprocessor-based board level design, A/D converters, and power supplies.
  • Familiarity with schematic entry, printed circuit board design, printed circuit board layout, and prototype verification and testing.
  • Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, including intrinsic safety.

The salary range for this role is $76, 000-85, 000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
