Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, the Accounting Business Partner is responsible for providing accounting & financial support to business divisions by demonstrating their accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and controls. This role partners closely with various departments to drive financial performance, enhance business processes, and support decision-making with accurate and timely financial information! This includes partnering with other functional areas.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Accounting Activities:
- Partnering with Finance Director & GFS Controller on monthly close and Journal Entry review
- Performing specific monthly, quarterly and annual general accounting processes, not centralize in GFS
- Business Partnering:
- Collaborating with business and department leaders to provide guidance on CP& Ps and answer accounting questions
- Partnering with other functions to ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Compliance and Control:
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies and partner with Compliance Director on specific projects and quarterly ICQ reviews.
- Supporting the preparation of statutory and regulatory filings, coordinating with internal and external auditors and Tax as required
- Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Close:
- Supporting the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements
- Reviewing Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Leading the preparation of financial statements and assist with management reports
- Process Improvement:
- Finding opportunities to streamline business unit accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Leading or participating in cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and procedures
- Training and Support:
- Providing training and guidance to non-finance staff on financial processes, CP& Ps and standard methodologies
- Acting as a coach to junior accounting staff, supporting their development and growth

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and business partnering
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in manufacturing, and corporate or large business environment is preferred
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, Excel)
- Proactive and adaptable with a continuous improvement attitude
- High level of integrity and confidentiality

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $94, 000-$120, 000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
