Description:

We are seeking an IT Programmer/Analyst/SQL Administrator for our TBEI Lake Crystal, MN location. This onsite, Monday–Friday role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting internal applications, SQL databases, and reporting systems that drive business operations. The position partners with IT, Finance, and other teams to analyze requirements, improve processes, and implement system enhancements, including reporting and integrations across ERP, web, and production systems. This role will also support the transition to Power BI, troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliable system functionality.

Job Summary:

The IT Programmer/Analyst/SQL Administrator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting internal applications, databases, and reporting systems that support business operations. This role works closely with IT, Finance, and business teams to analyze system requirements, recommend solutions, and implement improvements to existing programs and processes. The position focuses on SQL database administration, complex reporting development, and integration between ERP systems, internal web applications, and production systems. The individual will also support the organization’s transition to Power BI reporting while maintaining current reporting processes. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, optimizing application performance, maintaining documentation and compliance requirements, and providing technical support to ensure reliable and efficient system functionality.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Webmaster duties related to internal Intranet.
  • Assist in managing interfaces between ERP system, in-house web pages and production applications.
  • SQL Database Administration.
  • Write SQL programming code to achieve defined objectives focused on reporting.
  • Assist in managing very complex SQL reporting process.
  • Work on a team to revamp current reporting to Power BI while keeping our current processes working.
  • Analyze performance of programs and correct deficiencies based on consultation with IT management.
  • Work with IT and business users to evaluate options and recommend solutions in line with IT and/or business architecture.
  • Develop and debug existing internal programs.
  • Ensure high level of performance and availability of programs and interfaces according to business requirements.
  • Provide production support for programs and interfaces, especially when there is downtime causing business disruption.
  • Maintain, refine, and modify existing programs and documentation.
  • Document projects, problems, and solutions.
  • Maintain SOX and internal Audit documentation to maintain compliance.
  • Adhere to standard project development life cycle activities.
  • Provide end user documentation and support as needed.
  • Backup IT support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience in SQL development, database administration, or application development may also be considered.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in SQL Server, database administration, web development, or business intelligence tools such as Power BI are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IIS (Internet Information Server).
  • This position will be involved with complex financial and budget reporting using SQL and complex stored procedures.
  • Experience with manufacturing nesting software a plus. (ProNest)
  • Ability to continuously question and evaluate systems/procedures for most efficient uses, better communication, and process improvements (including analyzing existing computer programming code).
  • Clear understanding of emerging technologies and enhancements that will allow processes improvements and enhanced business functionality.
  • Develop new, or modify existing software objects to satisfy ongoing company business needs.
  • Good communication skills to identify and solve problems within the team environment.
  • In depth knowledge of SQL and experience in HTML/Internet applications, and JavaScript (server and client side). Programming preferences includes: ASP.NET, PowerShell, #, SQL Programming.
  • Experience in process areas mentioned above.
  • Effective time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to organize information in a logical manner and devise practical solutions.
  • Must be a team player working with associates from other departments and facilities.
  • Experience with integrated manufacturing and financial control systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or reach while performing office-related tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry light office equipment or materials up to 20 pounds if needed.
  • Visual ability to read and analyze computer screens, reports, and technical documentation for extended periods.

Additional Job Information:

  • Wage Expectations: $90, 000 - $100, 000 per year
  • Pay: This is an exempt, salaried position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Typical Schedule: M-F
  • Location: On Site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal MN 56055
  • Travel: Very minimal to none
