Job Description
TGW Systems Inc is hiring a Senior Process and Software Consultant in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a full-time position.
The Process and Software Consultant (PCSW) plays a critical role in the TGW sales organization by helping secure profitable business opportunities. This position ensures that proposed TGW solutions can be successfully implemented and operated within a prospective customers existing or future Warehouse Management System (WMS), while aligning with their operational requirements and business objectives. The PCSW engages with customers across multiple functional areas to analyze and understand current distribution center processes, system landscapes, and operational challenges. Through detailed process assessment and operational analysis, the PCSW validates solution feasibility, identifies integration requirements, and helps optimize system design to maximize business value. By bridging operational, software, and automation considerations, the Process and Software Consultant contributes to the development of effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions that meet customer needs and support successful project outcomes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in sales opportunity calls, design sessions, and reviews. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and customer stakeholders to evaluate business requirements and operational workflows. Visit prospective and existing sites to understand operating environments. Analyze existing warehouse processes, systems, and data flows to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop process maps, detailed requirements, and special features documentation. Respond to RFIs, RFPs and IT and Security Assessments. Assess the compatibility and integration requirements between TGW solutions and customer WMS platforms. Ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible, technically sound, and aligned with customer objectives. Provide subject matter expertise during solution development, proposal creation, and customer presentations. Identify potential risks, constraints, and implementation considerations early in the sales process. Provide input for and prepare software cost estimates. Support the transition from sales to project execution by documenting operational and software requirements. Collaborate with internal and external IT and software organizations to determine and realize solutions. Document responsibility matrices for WMS/WES/WCS functionality and description of operations documentation. Provide input for and review of simulation definitions and results. Review and provide input to the software functional specification document. Perform additional duties as assigned.
