Michigan Agency Partners (MAP), based in Jackson, Michigan, has a new opportunity for a Commercial Lines focused Independent Insurance Agency Consultant. Under the general direction of the VP of Operations and Chief Operating Officer, the Independent Insurance Agency Consultant is directly responsible for Member Agency growth initiatives and Strategic Partner Company organic growth, within the assigned territory. The Independent Insurance Agency Consultant is a sales champion focused relentlessly on increasing Member Agency income.

The Day to Day

1. Facilitate onboarding for all new member agencies primarily focused on strategic partner companies (SPC) sales production
2. Oversee implementation as designed via the Agency Foundation Program for all new start-up members
3. Tirelessly coach assigned members on innovative ways to increase new production. This position will concentrate on driving Commercial Lines production while also serving as a valuable resource for Personal Lines, supporting prospecting and marketing efforts.
4. Coordinate and document regular coaching sessions with member agencies to maximize member income opportunities
5. Be an expert on the use of the SIAA Income Calculator to support and illustrate the financial advantages of placing premium with Strategic Partner Companies
6. Champion Strategic Partner Premium (SPC) growth, and achieve set profitability standards within a defined territory, or group of members
7. Manage market access by assisting in obtaining direct Strategic Partner Company appointments as needed or warranted by individual members
8. Discuss and document perpetuation options with all members at various lifecycles of their membership
9. Identify and implement book consolidation plans focusing on the movement of non-partner premium to Strategic Partner Companies
10. Frequent communication with team to ensure unified efforts are focused on the common goals of the territory/member
11. Proficient with Technology and tech stacks used to accelerate agency growth
12. Use follow-up processes and procedures with agencies to document and track discussions
13. Attendance and participation in all Master Agency Annual meetings
14. Promote the SIAA Training & Learning Center (TLC)
15. Other duties as directed.
