As a Manager, Operations at RXO, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for our Transportation Management services offering. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead the Tactical Finance team to understand, monitor, document, and improve efficiencies of processes impacting account financial results
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, including Contracts/Legal, Start Up, Account Management, Accounting, AP, AR, IT, Sales, Solutions, Procurement, Operations Management, Executive Management, Operations Planning and Reporting, Invoicing, Cash Application, Real Estate, and New Site Implementation teams to develop and deploy efficient solutions to processes impacting account financial results.
  • Define requirements for transportation operations and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed company requirements and customer expectations
  • Ensure profitability targets are being met; lead a team responsible for and implementing strategies and metrics to ensure process commonality, standardized visibility, and continuity across disciplines.
  • Develop and deploy transportation operational, management, and financial solutions, and establish business controls and processes to support regional transportation operations
  • Identify and deploy a broad range of customer cost-saving initiatives through established processes
  • Define, deploy, and monitor corrective action plans that reduce risk and mitigate process errors
  • Design and deliver standard reporting and analytical tools to support Operations Management and Executive Management using a variety of software, including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial planning software
  • Interpret large volumes of operational data, report on accuracy and trends.
  • Create templates and deliverables for Operational/Financial KPIs; identify methods to monitor performance against original assumptions; develop detective controls and predictive indicators


What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:
  • 4 years of transportation and logistics experience
  • Excellent analytical, communication and time management skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience working with a TMS system


It’d be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience leading a team with a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) company
  • Availability to work extended hours including evenings, nights and weekends; ability to travel to customer and multiple operating locations up to 20% of the time
  • Solid problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees
