Follow Good Manufacturing Practices Job Duties: Follows the Quality Dairy Company Code of ExcellenceEnsures sanitation standard operating procedures, including master cleaning schedule are followedAssists with training of new employees to facilitate their understanding of the sanitation proceduresMaintains cleaning materials and processes on a daily basis to maximize sanitation efficiencyMaintains a lean manufacturing environment that achieves results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity and cost on a daily basisRecommends methods for improvement in equipment, operating procedures and working conditionsCommunicates maintenance needs to Sanitation Supervisor and/or Sanitation Crew leaderFollows policies, procedures and GMPsMaintains a clean and organized work environment and participates in housekeeping programsAssures departmental records are complete, accurate and legibleAssures lock out/tag out procedures are followedAssures all equipment is accurately re-assembled and ready for productionReports any malfunction, missing or broken part to Sanitation Supervisor and/or Sanitation Crew Leader no later than end of shift to assure prompt repair or replacementEffectively operates all sanitation equipment and materialsMeets daily sanitation needs within allotted timeAssists with other assigned Bakery functions Relationships: Sanitation Supervisor/Sanitation Crew Leader Communicate problems, suggestions and questionsReceive directions and instructionsResource for situations requiring a decisionReceive guidelines, company goalsSupport company policies and procedures Maintenance Notify of any equipment issues Essential Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands: Proven ability to operate all equipment involved in the sanitation parameters of the shift in their area of responsibilityAbility to move quickly and cover a large areaAbility to adapt to changing circumstances, personalities, departments and hoursRequired to follow all safety procedures and GMPsThorough knowledge of machine set-upAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAble to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift and pull repetitivelyExposure to temperature and noise extremes and hot itemsAbility to remain flexible in scheduling to cover weekends, holidays and a 7 day a week operationMust be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn and improve Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalentAbility to understand instructions clearly and effectivelyAbility to communicate with Sanitation Supervisor and Sanitation Crew Leader in English and meet daily as well as weekly goalsAbility to communicate openly and freely with Supervisors and Managers in EnglishRequires judgment and decision makingWorking knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures and other pertinent OSHA, EPA and MIOSHA practicesAbility to work with and through other people to accomplish sanitation demands, adapt to changing circumstances, personalities and hours THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IN NO WAY STATES OR IMPLIES THAT THESE ARE THE ONLY DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY THIS EMPLOYEE.
