Description:

As the Senior General Accountant, at Plastipak’s Global Corporate headquarters, you be part of team that analyzes, reconciles and records monthly general ledger activity for various accounts. Play an active role in monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes as well perform accounting functions for various subsidiaries while providing accounting support to Plastipak’s international locations.

You Will:

  • Prepare internal and external reporting including: compliance requirements (SEC), Debit Covenants, and bank reporting requirements
  • Reconciling hedging activities, accumulated other comprehensive income, balance sheets, income statements, and intercompany balances as well bank statements
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures including Journal entry review
  • Assist with preparation of work papers, footnotes disclosures and white papers

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years’ experience in public or corporate accounting
  • CPA is preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, accounting pronouncements, or governmental regulations
