Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Interpret CAD models, blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes and sample construction requirements.

2. Join, fabricate, repair and paint metal components using proper welding techniques and equipment, ensuring structural integrity and precision in all assemblies.

3. Operate and maintain welding machines, cutting tables, and other fabrication equipment including proper start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting to resolve machine or rack-related issues.

4. Build accurate samples and mockups based on Design Engineering team specifications; prepare assembly instruction sheets and organize sample products for customer review.

5. Assemble, fill, and ship prototypes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

6. Manage incoming and outgoing sample materials and hardware.

7. Maintain all sample shop machines and welding equipment; order materials and hardware as needed to support sample-making activities.

8. Work safely and efficiently, following all Standardized Work (STW) documentation and using required personal protective equipment.

9. Promote Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S and STW activities, and contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

10. Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent
