Position Summary

Molex is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead strategic growth initiatives for our Printed Circuit Solutions in the automotive market. This role will be instrumental in expanding our footprint with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strong relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that align with customer needs and Molex's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional business development strategy targeting automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities that align with PCS capabilities and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision-makers across the automotive ecosystem.
  • Understand customer business models, technical requirements, and strategic goals to position Molex PCS solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, and marketing to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
  • Stay current on automotive industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Represent Molex at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to promote PCS offerings.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring timely resolution of issues and long-term satisfaction.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the automotive or electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of printed circuit technologies (e.g., polyester printed circuits, flexible printed circuits, PCB assemblies) in automotive applications.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans and close complex deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the Detroit region and across North America as needed.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Technical background in flexible circuits, interconnects, or electronic assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Molex's Principle Based Managementâ„¢ and Economic Thinking.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and matrixed organizations.
