Duties and Responsibilities

• Review all quotations for customers upon their request. Originates inquiries to outside suppliers for tooling, machinery, or special projects.
• Responsible for the diagnosis of equipment malfunctions and the minimization of unscheduled downtime.
• Communicate and interface with all managers and staff in order to meet productivity objectives.
• Coordinate special projects as assigned.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining internal programs/processes to achieve capable part production.
• Responsible for establishing a uniform engineering system that incorporates quotes and equipment builds to specifications and action teams that identify and solve processing manufacturing problems.
• Ensure that the maintenance and engineering departments are staffed with competent personnel in all positions and that their abilities are identified, developed, and utilized.
• Prepare and present goals and objectives, metrics, and provide corrective actions as necessary.
• Establish a preventative maintenance program for the company’s critical production assets, buildings, and grounds to ensure that they are maintained and in working order at all times.
• Establish a critical spare parts inventory for the company’s production equipment to ensure timely repair to maximize run time.
• Initiate maintenance work orders as required and prepare cost justifications for major repairs or renovations.
• Feasibility reviews, implementation, monitoring, and measurement requirements for project status.
• Maintain appropriate records regarding equipment, servicing, and safety.
• Ensure safe working procedures and proper housekeeping practices are adhered to at all times.
• Prepare schedules for all maintenance and engineering projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience
• 8-10 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred

Skills, Certifications, Abilities
• Ability to present and sell ideas to a wide audience.
• Ability to analyze and organize data so as to make appropriate decisions. Ability to direct workforce to accomplish projects on time and on budget.
• Blueprint reading skills and familiarity with GD& T.
• Team-oriented individual.
• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to apply the principles of root cause analysis
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with the workforce, suppliers, and customers
• Ability to stand, sit, lift, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motion tasks for occasional extended periods of time
• Ability to ascend/descend a ladder as required
• Ability to work around continuous noise exposure
• Ability to work overtime if necessary
