ACH Manager

The ACH Manager leads LAFCU's daily Automated Clearing House operations and helps rebuild and strengthen the ACH program. This hands-on role combines processing oversight, exception research, procedure development, staff training, and team coordination to deliver accurate, timely, and dependable service. The manager partners with Finance leadership and other departments to improve workflows, reinforce controls, and keep employees informed and accountable as processes change. Oversee ACH processing, including file transmission, origination, settlement, balancing, returns, Notifications of Change, reversals, and exceptions. Research and resolve missing files, rejected transactions, and discrepancies with staff, vendors, and other departments. Improve workflows and maintain clear procedures, job aids, and training materials. Coordinate assignments, staffing coverage, coaching, and cross-training. Maintain compliance with Nacha rules, regulatory requirements, and LAFCU policies; support audits and resolve findings. Use Symitar and Excel for transaction research, reconciliation, exception tracking, and reporting; support system testing and improvements. Maintain continuity and escalation plans, coordinate recovery from disruptions, and communicate priorities and operational updates. Perform other duties as assigned. Deliver workflow improvements within agreed timelines and reduce recurring errors. Keep procedures current and maintain employee proficiency and backup coverage. Follow required controls and address audit findings promptly. Communicate timely updates and maintain tested continuity plans.
